Is Grand Theft Auto VI single player?
Rockstar describes Grand Theft Auto VI as a single player experience. No online mode has been announced for it, and the pre-order bonus month of GTA+ belongs to the existing GTA Online.

Yes — Rockstar calls it a single player experience
Rockstar’s own pre-order announcement states it in one line: Grand Theft Auto VI is a single player experience. The PlayStation Store listing says the same thing and lists the game as one player.
What that does and does not rule out
- No online mode has been announced for Grand Theft Auto VI, at launch or later
- GTA Online — the one attached to Grand Theft Auto V — continues to exist and is a separate product
- The free month of GTA+ offered with digital pre-orders is a subscription to that existing GTA Online, not to anything in this game
The PlayStation listing also carries the line in-game purchases optional. Rockstar has not explained what that refers to in a single player game, and the label is applied broadly by storefronts, so it is worth noticing and not worth reading as an announcement.
