When can I pre-load Grand Theft Auto VI?
Digital pre-orders can pre-load from November 12, 2026. The physical edition also goes on sale that day, with a download code in the box rather than the game on a disc.

From November 12, 2026 — a week before launch
Pre-loading starts on November 12, 2026, seven days before the game unlocks on November 19. Rockstar announced both dates together with pre-orders.
The physical edition is also a download
The boxed edition goes on sale on the same day, and Rockstar says it contains a download code — which is why it appears a week early: so a disc-free install can finish before launch day.
What nobody can tell you yet
No install size has been published. Every figure in circulation is extrapolated from previous Rockstar releases, so leave headroom, but do not buy storage on the strength of a number nobody has stated.
